Dog

Dogs are mobs that are generally passive towards players and can vary. The most spotted variation of a Dog appears as a Pembroke Welsh Corgi, but another variation of the Dog faction also can be seen (the other variation debatably resembles a German Shepherd).

Dogs can be tamed by players. Once tamed, dogs will follow players around and possibly help them fight hostile mobs and bosses (although it is speculated that if they do so, they will do minimal damage). It is currently unknown how to tame a dog, but when this information becomes available, the article will be updated.

The following information below is additional information and will likely not affect players.

#1. Dogs can sleep. In the Hytale trailer, a dog is shown waking up on a fence.

#2. Dogs can wear hats. A screenshot released of a Halloween build showed a dog wearing a pirate hat.

#3. Dogs are only found in Emerald Grove, specifically near villages run by NPCs.
