Okay, so I’ve been thinking a lot about this since Hytale’s modding update dropped. We all know both Minecraft and Hytale servers run on Java, right? So, like… is it actually possible to port Minecraft plugins over to Hytale servers? I mean, sure, the APIs and systems are totally different, but the fact that they’re both Java-based has to count for *something*, yeah?

From what I’ve read in [Hytale’s latest modding update](https://hytale.com/news/2025/11/hytale-modding-strategy-and-status), they’re pushing hard for server-side modding and even planning to release the server source code soon. That’s huge! If we can peek under the hood, maybe we can figure out how to adapt or rewrite some of the logic from Minecraft plugins to work in Hytale. I’m not saying it’ll be a copy-paste job—obviously, Hytale’s architecture is its own beast—but having that shared Java foundation could make the transition *way* smoother than starting from scratch.

And hey, if you’re into this kind of tinkering, you should totally check out [hytaleservers.com.br](https://hytaleservers.com.br/)—they’ve got some cool resources and discussions going on about Hytale server setups. Might be a good place to brainstorm or find others who are trying to do the same thing.

But here’s the thing: Hytale’s modding is still super early. The tools are rough, the docs are incomplete, and some stuff is just straight-up missing. But that’s also kind of exciting? We’re basically getting in on the ground floor. If we can figure out how to bridge the gap between Minecraft and Hytale plugins now, we could be ahead of the game when the modding scene really takes off.

So, what do you all think? Has anyone already tried messing around with this? Are there any big roadblocks you’ve hit, or is this just a pipe dream? Let’s chat—maybe we can crowdsource some solutions!

**What is Pre-Alpha?**

The Pre-Alpha version of Guilds is an extremely early development stage. At this point, we are primarily setting up the server infrastructure and preparing the core systems. Gameplay features are very limited, and many things may change as development progresses.

We will start developing more features and expanding the server once Hytale officially releases its API. The Pre-Alpha release is mainly for testing, experimenting, and giving early supporters a sneak peek of what’s to come.

**Our Plans**

Guilds System:
* Create and manage guilds
* Assign guild officers
* Guild bank and chests
* Land claiming and territory control
* Guild power and progression


**Market System:**

* Fully player-driven economy and trading


**Safe Areas:**

* Designated zones where players can safely interact, trade, and access NPCs

When I created my profile on this website I thought I put in the username 'Comet' instead of 'comet' with no capital at the beginning. Does anyone know if there is a way to change my username to have a capital at the beginning?
