Description

Gaia is the Goddess of nature in Hytale. She is inspired by the Greek Goddess of the same name. Her ponytails represent the five elements: Wind, Earth, Fire, Lightning, and Water.

The first 5 zones in Hytale each have a corresponding element to them.

She is known to be worshipped by Humans, Ferans, and Kweebecs via ancient statues.

Her relationship with Varyn, the antagonist of Hytale is currently unknown.

Perhaps she is a wife of Varyn and Varyn is her mad husband... What? I mean in our world when there are multiple gods in religion/mythology there often are some kind of relationship between gods/godesses like mother, wife, son, e.t.c.

That's if we simply say so. I mean there could still be deeper lore, like once he Varyn was mortal whom Gaia loved and she gave him her void element, to make him immortal like her so that she could live with him forever, but due to a violent and unpredictable nature of the element he has gone mad. I could continue adding details to mine story like why this element, why she tried to make him demigod/god, but it's not like anyone is asking me to tell the story which probably ain't gonna be in game.

@Demandro Interesting theory! I think some "elements" of this ^ could be implemented into the story, but who knows.
